‘Top employers hire fewer women graduates’
This was the headline in an article written by Nicola Woolcock of ‘The Times’ dated January 31st 2008.
She continued: ‘The proportion of women recruited by leading companies fell last year despite an increasing majority of university graduates being women. A report by the Association of Graduate Recruiters based on information from 200 of the country’s top employers, shows that 39% of fast tack graduate recruits were female compared with 42.6% in 2006. Women now account for 57% of all graduates from British Universities.
